Published October 10, 2014

Proper nutrition for your body may seen pretty intimidating. Do you know what to eat and the right portion size? These questions can confuse a lot of people. The following article can help you with your questions.

There are many ways to meet your daily protein requirements that don’t involve meat. There are a variety of non-meat protein sources that you can include in your diet. You can find plenty of protein in fish, as well as vegetarian foods like tofu, beans, and nuts. Some of these foods can be a side dish or serve as the main course. Make sure to add a variety of protein to your diet to keep things interesting.

When you feel satisfied, stop eating. This prevent you from overeating, and sends the signal for digestion to your body. You will be healthier by doing so.

Trans Fats

Over-processed foods are high in trans fats and should be avoided. Eating foods with trans fats is a ticket to developing heart disease. Trans fats replace the good cholesterol, HDL, with bad cholesterol, LDL.

Eat a daily multivitamin to supplement your nutrition. Although natural foods are always superior to supplements for vitamins and minerals, you never know when you won’t consume enough of them on a given day.

Eat foods of every color and often. The various colors of fruits and vegetables can give you a lot of healthy benefits minus the calories. Try and get at least one serving of fruits and vegetables with each meal. Eat the edible skins if you can, since they contain a lot of antioxidants.

Put the above tips to use and come up with a plan to make and keep your life healthier. You will look and feel so much better when you plan out your nutrition to get the right amount of vitamins and nutrients.
