
Hormonal imbalance can lead to many health complications and symptoms, from difficulty sleeping to weight gain to chronic inflammation. Since hormonal imbalance can occur at any age as a result of many different factors, such as a poor diet, environmental toxins, taking certain medications, menopause in women, andropause in men, thyroid disorders, and more, almost everyone is potentially at risk. Stress is also often a trigger for both hormonal imbalance and chronic inflammation in the body, both of which can raise the risk for serious disease. Inflammation is part of the body’s natural immune response to heal and protect itself. However, in cases where the problem is unable to resolve itself, or when triggers like stress or poor diet are unrelenting and long-term, chronic inflammation can result.
