The basic strategy of increasing muscle mass is to lift heavier weights for fewer repetitions. First, pick a muscle group, like your pectoral muscles. Before getting into the main workout, warm up with light weights. Do 15-20 reps during this warm-up set. Use heavier weights for your next set: do only 8 reps. When you get to the final set, increase the weight that you lift between 5-10 pounds.

It is important that your core is strong. When your core is strong, it will be easier to do all other activities. Some good exercise to help build your core are sit-ups and crunches. Doing sit ups can also increase the range of motion you experience. Improve your core and you improve the rest of your body as well.

When you use wall sits, you can improve the strength of your legs in not time at all. The first thing you must do is find a wall with enough room for you to squat against. Stand about eighteen inches from the wall facing away. While bending your knees, you need to lean backward so that your whole back rests against the wall. Keep your knees bent and slide down the wall until your thighs are in a crouched position. You should keep this position as long as possible.
