In order to be healthy and have a healthy body weight, it’s important that you eat right. Use the tips and ideas here to keep your body in top shape. You will no longer have an excuse for eating junk!

Choose baked foods over fried foods. Foods that are baked are lower in calories and better for you than their fried counterparts. Most likely, it will result in you having a lot more energy throughout the day from eating healthy baked foods.

One important nutrition tip to follow is to eat your vegetables and fruits each and every day. The USDA recommends 9-13 servings of produce daily. While it might sound like quite a bit, it isn’t at all difficult to work them into your diet. For example, enjoy a glass of orange juice for breakfast along with a banana to take care of two servings of fruit at breakfast.

Are you a vegetarian? If not, it’s still possible to improve your nutrition by consuming vegetarian meals about two or three times each week. It will reduce your intake of saturated fats, it will reduce your food costs, and it will provide you with a tasty meal that rivals a meal with meats, not to mention the benefits to the environment.

Take note of the number of soft drinks, juice and other sugary beverages you drink daily, and replace half of that total by drinking water. It is easy to consume far too many sugary drinks. Knowing the true amount is useful for determining whether or not you drink too much.

Try eating garlic for a nutritional illness prevention. Garlic has bacteria-killing properties. Garlic tastes great and can be added to lots of different kinds of foods. You can roast garlic and eat it in a variety of ways.
