Don’t Become A Couch Potato: Get Physically Fit Today!

Published June 24, 2014

There are many possible fitness routines, so find one and stick with it. Read on to find many fitness tips which will help you continue to your goals!

Counting your calories helps you stay more fit. Knowing how many calories you consume a day is key because it determines whether you’ll lose weight or gain weight. If you only consume enough calories to satisfy your basic needs, then burn calories through exercise, your net calories will be negative, which will help you lose weight quickly.

Do not let yourself be put off. Cycling is also a great fitness option. Instead of taking a car or public transportation, you can bicycle to work. It will be an inexpensive way for you to get fit, have fun, and get to work. Biking for 5 miles to work and 5 miles home will give you two daily workouts.

Strong Core

It’s key to have a very strong core. Every physical activity you engage in will be positively influenced by a strong core. Sit-ups are a classic exercise and one that builds the core muscles. Crunches and sit-ups can provide you with a broader range of motion. This will get your abdominal muscles into shape.

Crunches day and night alone won’t give you a six pack. You can use abdominal exercises to make muscles more strong, but the belly fat will remain. If you want flat abs, you have to take care of your diet and do a lot of cardio and weight training to cut body fat.

If you choose to ride a bike to work, make sure your pace stays between 80 and 110 revolutions per minute You can ride longer this way without stressing out your knees. RPM can be determined by keeping track of how many times one knee comes to the top for 10 seconds, and then multiplying that number by 6. It should be around 80 to 110 times.

Use the tips provided here to give your workout a kick-start. Make sure that you make exercise a part of your everyday life, not just a weekly habit. Healthy lifestyle changes will result in more energy and the focus and resolve to handle life’s challenges.
