Advice On Being Successful At Weight Loss

Published December 3, 2012

Summer is fast approaching, and weight loss is taking on greater importance. While going it alone can work for a few people, a good plan involving diet, exercise and sometimes supplementation, can give you the boost you need to reach your goals.

Make sure that you eat different types of foods and don’t eliminate any from your diet. If you eliminate a food you love from your diet plan, you’ll just crave this food even more, which will eventually lead to you giving in and binging on it. You’ll end up eating too much of it in the long run.

Having a friend who also wants to lose weight is a great motivator. Having someone close to you that also wants to become fit can be a great motivator. You can turn to each other for motivation and trade tips to help each other find more effective weight loss strategies.

Weight loss is often elusive but can be achieved with discipline and motivation. Measure your appendages and waist in addition to your weight to properly measure your progress.

French Fries

Just about everyone loves eating french fries. French fries are bad for those trying to lose weight. If you crave the tastes of french fries, bake them instead of frying them. Slice your potatoes about a half inch and mix them with oil, put some peooper and salt on them, try a little rosemary and bake them at 400. Use a spatula to flip them over and leave it in the oven for 10 more minutes. You will prefer these over the usual deep-fried version because they are scrumptious with ketchup and they have a lot less calories. This great idea for “French Bakes” came from Laurel’s Kitchen cookbook.

You always should have a good attitude and be happy about meeting small goals. If you work hard, stay committed and set goals for yourself, you will definitely succeed in losing weight. All that is necessary after that is to follow a maintenance plan.
