Think Thin And Start Losing Weight Today

Published April 26, 2014

If you’re not someone who’s large but wants to lose weight, it will take a while. This is because your body’s fat will turn into muscle. Because fat weighs less than muscle, you may not see a change in your weight to begin with. The following article can teach you a great deal about weight loss.

Drink more water so that you are less hungry, can lose some water weight. If you reduce your food intake and consume at least two quarts of water everyday for seven days, you start to lose water weight. You can jump start your diet with a quick five pound loss and then proceed to working on real fat loss.

Rather than consuming a large meal during the late evening hours, consume this big meal during your lunch hour. Eat a healthy, filling breakfast, a moderate lunch and a light dinner with healthy snack in between. Your body burns more calories throughout the day, rather than at night, so this strategy makes more sense.

500 Calories

One way to think about weight loss is in a mathematical sense. There are about 3,500 calories in a pound of fat. So, if you want to lose one pound you simply have to use 3500 calories more than you consume. A good way to think about it is in 500 calories at a time and try to burn 500 more calories than you are eating. This allocation sets you up to safely and easily lose weight at the rate of one pound weekly.

Your goals must be realistic. Just like most other things, when your goals are not realistic, you are setting yourself up for failure. Even if you have to lose 20 pounds, setting short time constraints, like a month, can just end up in failure. The best way to make sure you’re being realistic is to set weekly subgoals. Do not try to look too far into the future. Break it up into attainable weekly goals and focus on reaching each goal.

You can get into weight loss no matter what you look like, but building muscle is what you should be looking at. More muscle means more strength and better health. The tips you’ve just read should get you on the way to becoming healthier than ever.
